How to create a stylish & casual look with a grey knit

The winter is in full swing and I must admit that my inner fashion vibe drops below zero like the barometer. The days are dull, short but feel long. Bare trees, cold, dim light in the morning throw a gloomy shadow on every day and I could go on like this forever. January and February in the city are the worst months ever, if only there was some snow to bring novelty to the boring days…. All I want at this time of the year is to spend my days indoors in the comfort of snug grey knit, comfortable sweaters, jeans, wrapped in a cashmere stole, wear sweatpants and Ugg boots. Hmm, am I going full normcore? Not sure but casual, absolutely. By the way, do you know what normcore fashion is? Normcore is a unisex fashion trend characterized by unpretentious, average-looking clothing. Normcore clothes include everyday items of casual wear such as t-shirts, hoodies, short-sleeved shirts, jeans and chino pants, these clothes are worn by men and women alike. The “normcore” trend has been interpreted as a reaction to fashion oversaturation resulting from ever faster-changing fashion trends. Normcore as opposed to glamour? I will not debate about it here.

A grey knit is so easy to associate with any style. And it’s one of those basics that you never have enough in your wardrobe. They come in 50 shades and shapes of grey and more. I don’t resist!! Every season brings a new addition in my collection of grey knits. Here is this one I chose to wear in the beautiful gardens of the Musée des Archives in Le Marais district in Paris.

I teamed a loose light marled wool grey knit with grey jeans and black details to elevate the look: the inevitable Isabel Marant Lola boots and Chanel vintage bag…

Are you a lover of grey knits? I want to read your comments!!! Can’t wait to hear from you! 🙂
